Understanding workflows
Workflows are most commonly associated with phone lines but can also be created without any underlying phone number or line type. Workflows enable you to create simple or complex communication processes that can be deployed on-demand within your organization. Alternatively, workflows can be activated by a set schedule or an external trigger, such as an inbound phone call or a text message.
Workflows consist of actions that can be preconfigured based on your operational needs and can be set up to:
- Receive inbound calls
- Initiate outbound conference calls
- Capture and distribute voice messages
- Send text messages
- Initiate text-to-voice calls
- Send emails
- Deliver push notifications
- Alert pagers
- Distribute polls
- Distribute documents
- Trigger webhooks
With workflows, you can choose to utilize all available workflow actions or just one, depending on your specific requirements.
