Using Locate via Text Message
If you don't have access to the Connect Rocket web app or mobile app, you can send a Locate request from any text-capable phone — as long as your own mobile number is associated with a contact in your Connect Rocket account. You don't need any prior information about the subject other than their phone number.
This method provides location only. It does not include the Messages tab, battery level, or language detection available when using Locate & Message through the web or mobile app. If you need to communicate with the subject beyond the location request itself, you can text them directly using their phone number.
Step 1
Send a text message to your Connect Rocket phone number. The message should read Locate followed by a space and the subject's 10-digit phone number.

Step 2
Connect Rocket sends a text message and link to the subject. When they tap the link, their phone — depending on their device's privacy settings — may prompt them to share their location. Once permitted, their phone sends location coordinates back to Connect Rocket.

Step 3
Once the subject's phone has been located, Connect Rocket sends the location details back to you by text message.
