Understanding workflows

Workflows are most commonly created when configuring phone lines (Multi-Workflow, Single-Workflow, Direct Connect and Cascade Connect lines) but can also be created independent of a phone line (Dashboard-only Workflows).

Workflows enable you to create simple or complex communication processes that can be deployed on-demand within your organization. Alternatively, workflows can be activated by a set schedule or an external trigger, such as an inbound phone call or a text message.

Workflows can be set up to:

  • Initiate outbound conference calls
  • Capture and distribute voice messages
  • Distribute call transcripts
  • Send text messages
  • Initiate text-to-voice calls
  • Send emails
  • Deliver push notifications
  • Alert pagers
  • Distribute polls
  • Distribute documents

With workflows, you can choose to utilize all available workflow actions or just one.
