Set Minimum 'On Duty' Contacts

Setting a minimum count for 'On Duty' contacts in your critical groups ensures you're never left without sufficient personnel to meet your operational needs. Once you set a minimum 'On Duty' count for a group, contacts will be prevented from going off duty if the change would result in the number of 'On Duty' contacts dropping below the minimum.

Step 1

Navigate to 'Manage Account' via the profile menu.

Step 2

Select 'Duty Manager' from the page navigation.

Step 3

Enable 'Set a minimum number of 'On Duty' contacts for groups'

Step 4

Return to the dashboard and select 'Groups.'

Step 5

Next, chose to create a new group or edit an existing group. Once you're in the create/edit state you will see a field labelled 'Minimum On Duty Contacts'. Enter the minimum number of 'On Duty' contacts desired for the group. When done, click 'Save' or finish setting up your new group.

Once you've set the minimum number of 'On Duty' contacts for your group, it will not be possible for a Contact to go 'Off Duty' if the requested change to duty status will result in a given group having less than the minimum 'On Duty' contacts. In these instances, the party involved will receive a text message or notification highlighting the reason for the failure to process the change in duty status.

D4H enabled accounts will also be protected by this feature. Any changes in the On-Call Planner that would reduce the number of 'On Duty' contacts below the group minimum will be rejected.
