What are Phone Numbers

Phone numbers allow your Connect Rocket account to access telecommuncations networks for the purpose of sending/receiving voice calls and text messages. Phone numbers are optional and are assigned to accounts at creation, or can be added later to expand capability. An account can have none, one or many phone numbers.

Phone numbers can be either configurable or non-configurable. A configurable phone number can be assigned a phone line type. Phone lines types allow you to handle a variety of inbound/outbound voice and text message traffic in the manner that best suits your needs. Non-configurable phone numbers are 'locked' and can only be administered by Connect Rocket and cannot be assigned a phone line type. Connect Rocket will assist you in determining what phone line type will best suit your needs.
