Activating a Message Line by text message

In addition to voice calls, a Message Line can be activated by sending a text message to your Connect Rocket phone number. This is particularly useful for teams operating in areas with limited voice connectivity who rely on satellite messengers to stay connected.

Before you begin: Text message activation must be enabled on your Message Line before it can be used. See Message Line Configuration.

Step 1

Open a new text message on your mobile phone or satellite messenger and address it to the phone number associated with your Message Line. Your message can contain any text — there is no required format.

Step 2

Type your message and send it. You will receive a reply from Connect Rocket confirming that your message has been received and is being escalated. The wording of this reply is customised by your administrator — contact them if you're unsure what to expect.

Human verification (if enabled): If your administrator has enabled text message verification, Connect Rocket will send a human challenge back to you before escalating the message. Complete the challenge to confirm you are not an automated sender. Once verified, your message will be escalated within the organization.
