What are Agents?

Agents are automated monitors that watch for changing conditions and notify the right people when a a warning or alert condition you've defined has been met. Rather than waiting for someone to check a data source manually, an Agent does the watching for you — and acts the moment conditions warrant it.

Agents are configured in advance around known risks or operational triggers, and run continuously in the background. When a threshold is met, an Agent can respond in two ways:

• Notification: Sends an alert to designated contacts.
• Workflow Integration: Triggers a workflow to kick off a larger automated process.

Example: An Emergency Manager sets a river flow rate threshold based on flood risk criteria. When gauges exceed that level, Craig automatically alerts designated staff — enabling early action before conditions worsen.
