How mobile apps work
Our iOS and Android apps provide access to a fourth delivery channel - push messaging. Push messaging is fast, efficient and inexpensive - all qualities which make push a valuable addition to Connect Rocket. When an Administrator chooses to send a notification to their contacts, we will send the notification to all of the selected individuals via push message and at the same time queue up a text message to be held in reserve. If the push message is delivered successfully, we cancel the queued text message. In the event that the push notification fails, we send the queued text message as a failover.
For those in the organization that do not have the mobile app installed, they will continue to receive text messages as they always have.
